This lecture is an important community event and we encourage everyone to attend - men and women. All welcome.

Building a better world. Nova Peris' path of Tikkun Olam

Each year, our Mina Fink lecture features an inspiring and thought-provoking speaker. In light of the current landscape and the shocking rise in anti-Semitism globally, we are proud to present Nova Peris OAM as this year's keynote speaker. Nova is not only a celebrated and decorated Indigenous Australian athlete and former politician but also an outspoken ally to the Jewish people and to Israel.

Using her platform, Nova confronts misinformation, propaganda, and hate directed towards the Jewish community. Her recent visit to Israel allowed her to bear witness to the atrocities committed on October 7, further fueling her determination to combat injustice.

With her remarkable insight and advocacy, Nova has drawn parallels between the struggles of Indigenous Aboriginal people and the Jewish people, recognising shared experiences and she strives to foster greater understanding and solidarity. Nova's commitment to promoting the truth and justice makes her an inspiring figure, and we are honored to have her share her wisdom and perspective with us for our 2024 Mina Fink Lecture.

Nova will be in conversation with Professor Kim Rubenstein. Kim is a lawyer, academic, author, distinguished human rights advocate and is a champion of equal opportunity and active citizenship. She is a Professor in the Faculty of Business Government and Law at the University of Canberra and an Honorary Professor at the ANU.

Needless to say, this years lecture is going to sell out, so get your tickets now!
