Advocacy Overview

Who are the Advocacy Committee?

Our committee is a volunteer team of experienced, skilled women who share a passion for gender equality, community advocacy and representing the voice of women in both the Jewish and broader community. 

Their goal is to create public awareness, provide information for public comment and gather public support for issues relating to:

• The status of women
• Support for women and children 
• Social cohesion and human rights
• Support for the empowerment of women and girls in Israel

What does the Advocacy Committee do? 

Our Advocacy Committee is a creative and hard-working team who plan and deliver community advocacy, events and public awareness campaigns to actively represent the voice of Jewish women in our community.

They encourage the Jewish community and organisations to realise their aspirations to improve gender equality, and to take responsibility to ensure Jewish women in Victoria are equally represented in leadership positions and participate equally in community events. 

Our advocacy work also includes making submissions on law reform and campaigning on social justice matters.
