Eligibility Requirements
Before proceeding, please ensure you meet the following
requirements/expectations to volunteer as a Caring Mum:
· You are a mother with lived experience of
parenting.
· Your youngest child is 4 years of age or
older.
· You are available to attend our upcoming
Caring Mums training program (3 x full day sessions, 10am–4pm on Wednesday
April 29, May 6 & May 13, 2026).
· You can commit to the ongoing time
requirement of 6 hours per fortnight, made up of a 2-hour weekly visit with
your matched mum and a 2-hour group supervision session every fortnight (held
during the day at our North Caulfield office).
Please note: once matched with a mum, you will continue to meet with her weekly
for up to a year. Please ensure you are able to commit for this timeframe.
· We currently operate in 6 Local Government Areas
(Glen Eira, Port Phillip, Bayside, Stonnington, Boroondara and Kingston).
Generally speaking, we expect that Caring Mum volunteers will be willing to
travel to meet with their mum in these areas. As much as possible, we try to
match mums with volunteers who live within a reasonable travelling distance
(less than 30 mins drive), but we can’t always guarantee this, and volunteers
may be required to travel where the need is.
Please complete this form to express your interest in
volunteering as a Caring Mum. This application is the precursor to being
interviewed and participating in Caring Mums training. Your personal
information remains strictly confidential.
We invite you to attend our information session on Thursday
26 March at 7:30 pm. Location to be provided upon
registration.
