Discover Your Jam
July 2022

The Jam Project has had a wonderful start to 2022. Following on from our ‘matching’ stage whereby our participants are matched with their mentors, we enter into training stage. Our mentors must complete comprehensive training before The Jam Project sessions begin.

Our first group Jam Session explored themes of female empowerment. We were fortunate to have Chelsea Fisher facilitate the session on behalf of the CSG (Community Support Group). Chelsea is a strong role model who volunteers at CSG and has also been drafted to play VFL for Williamstown.  The session involved discussions about strength, protection and how to feel empowered. The room was buzzing with energy and positivity and we want to thank Chelsea for her time and expertise.

This session was followed by our much-anticipated group session at Merryl's Mosaic. After 2 years of cancellations due to lockdowns, the group were thrilled to finally attend this session. Participants enjoyed taping into their creative side, having dinner together and just being in each other’s’ company.

We are now entering an exciting phase of the program where our matches are getting to know one another. Developing skills, empowering one another, and creating lasting friendships.
