We were all so excited in January when Caring Mums was announced as a finalist in the HESTA Impact Awards for 2022. This is no mean feat when you consider that the awards recognise people working in health and community services across Australia who are committed to creating a better future. Being one of only four finalists (in their category) from organisations across Australia shows the enormous impact of our Caring Mums program.
As we emerge from our months in lockdown, Caring Mums is excited to be able to finally connect with our mums in person. It has been a huge learning curve for all of us. We now need to ensure that these new learnings are not overlooked.
NCJWA Vic is excited to share that Caring Mums has been announced as the winner in the category “Supporting Parents to Build their Capacity and Confidence” in the Department of Education and Training’s 2020 Victorian Early Years Awards.
Acknowledgement of Traditional Owners NCJWA Vic would like to acknowledge the Boon Wurrung and the Wurundjeri people of the Kulin Nations and all traditional owners of the land that is Australia. We recognise the traditional owners' continuing connection to the land, waterways and community. We pay respect to Elders past and present, and we acknowledge their stories, traditions and living cultures. As Jewish women, we specifically honour and acknowledge First Nations’ women who, like our matriarchs, are strong, brave, determined and resilient.
