Meet our new CEO
March 2022

We’re so pleased to introduce you to Lisa Esekiel, our new CEO. Lisa starts on Monday 28 March and is already raring to go. She is busy reading and learning about our organisation and we look forward to her input into our strategy moving forward.

A proud mum, Lisa has two boys - Rafi, aged 9 and Arlo aged 6. The boys, Lisa and her husband love being outdoors, spending time with friends and family and watching the Melbourne demons finally succeed!

Lisa was most recently Head Community Relations & Fundraising at Community Security Group (CSG) where she established a new donor wing, exceeded the annual appeal target 3 years running and was a member of the Victorian Jewish Community Covid Taskforce. In her role, she worked closely with major stakeholders and the wider community. Her warm and engaging nature together with her can-do attitude meant that she was highly successful at developing important partnerships and relationships.

Lisa loves the arts and expresses her own creativity in the kitchen. Nothing brings her more joy than a house full of people, eating, drinking and laughing. When she has downtime, she loves watching documentaries, going hiking and taking her dog for long walks. We’re not sure how much downtime she’ll have once she starts her new role!!

With a collaborative leadership style and the ability to build strong working relationships together with her fresh and modern approach to stakeholder engagement, Lisa will complement our existing strong team to deliver the strategic priorities for our organisation.

Lisa is thrilled to be combining two of her greatest passions: the Jewish community; and the advancement of women. She is looking forward to the challenges this role will bring and opportunities for her own professional growth and development.

We’re excited about this new phase of NCJWA Vic’s work under Lisa’s leadership. Please join us in welcoming her to the organisation.
