There was laughter and big smiles all around as we celebrated Purim on Tuesday March 8 at Caulfield Park for members of the Golden Age Club and the Connectivity program at Kehilat Nitzan Synagogue.

A delicious Kosher lunch as well as homemade compote and hamantaschen were served while the musician entertained us with Yiddish, Russian songs and even some ABBA! Kehilat Nitzan's Rabbi Yonatan Sadoff read from the Megillah and sang beautiful Purim and Hebrew songs while many of the guests and volunteers danced together. 

Nellie Khoroshina from NCJWA Vic, and Debbie Korman and volunteers from Kehilat Nitzan, were full of energy and enthusiasm which put smiles on all the participants faces. This was much needed as they all have family in Russia and/or Ukraine which has made life very tense. The Purim lunch was a perfect way for everyone to have a few hours of fun with good food, dress ups and uplifting music.
