A large component of expanding our program is educating local services about Caring Mums. Over the last few months, we presented to seven different groups of referrers. The presentations were to the Maternal Child and Health Nurses from the cities of Port Phillip, Glen Eira, Bayside and Kingston, as well as to the Monash Mother/Baby Unit and Star Health.

Both our Seniors and our Golden Age Club members have been enjoying various activities throughout the month.

Caring Mums is back in full swing with 16 new volunteers having completed our training, and one new volunteer supervisor on board.

The Melbourne Hebrew Congregation, led by Rabbi Shlomo Nathanson, conducted a special event to commemorate this year’s Yom Hashoah.

NCJWA Vic Golden Age Club members took part in the Anzac Memorial Civic Service on Sunday, the 24th April.

After a short winter hibernation, our Caring Mums program is back in action. The Melbourne chill and rain has not stopped our supervision catch-ups and our campaign to raise program awareness.

The Jam Project has had a wonderful start to 2022. Following on from our ‘matching’ stage whereby our participants are matched with their mentors, we enter into training stage. Our mentors must complete comprehensive training before The Jam Project sessions begin.

Danielle Kamien, a digital marketing professional with over 15 years’ experience in both the corporate and not for profit sectors, is our new Board Observer.

The Seniors Program, together with the Golden Age Clubs, celebrated Pesach with a Pre-Model Seder. NCJWA Vic's CEO Lisa Ezekiel welcomed everyone and introduced Special guest speaker Rabbi Aviva Kippen, who explained the different customs of the Seder.

This year The Jam Project launched with a 'Year 9’s only' group sessions. This icebreaker dinner provided the participants with an opportunity to get to know one another before the program formally starts this month.
